It is the largest known meeting place for Asian Elephants in the world. Herds of up to 300 elephants are seen at the 8,890-hectare park within a few square kilometres of the Minneriya Reservoir. Wild elephants from the surrounding wilderness visit the Minneriya National Park in search of food and water. Its an amazing experience for Elephant lovers.
