Feel like a rich ancient spice merchant, returning home after a day of bargaining and bartering inside the Dutch held Town of Galle and its Administrative and Commercial area the Galle Fort. One of the less than a dozen properties in the Galle Fort with a Sea and Rampart view and a swimming pool, the Thambili House is truly unique in many ways. Compact with no more than 3 bedrooms the house is filled with genuine antique pieces made of the now extinct Calamander wood and extremely rare Ebony furniture anywhere between 200 to 300 years in age. A few true ancient masterpiece adorns the public spaces, among which is an Ebony living room set from the ancient Bandaranayaka Wallauwwa which produced 2 Prime Ministers and the first Lady President in history and a dining tables and Cupboards of pure Ebony. Well supplied with a variety of sea food our bespoke chefs always stand ready to prepare dishes to suite your pallet. Thambili house is located a few meters away from the ancient Jumma Masjid Mosque and the legendary Galle Fort Light House.
